Skills taught in the millinery course: block making, making a dolly, millinery stitch techniques, sizing-pattern making, fabric hats from flat pattern, turbans, blocked fabric hats, felt hats, straw hats, leather hats, trimmings, linings, decorative hat pins and combs, flower making, cocktail hats and bridal head-dresses including various veiling.

Wombourne School of Millinery - offer a variety of courses suitable both for beginners, who have never made a hat before and who want to try this fascinating craft, and for more experienced milliners who want to learn new techniques.
